Career Advising
Our advisees and volunteers have a history of getting good jobs in environmental sciences and conservation, across sectors. As such, we want to offer this guidance in a formal way, lead by our founder, Dr. David Hudson. Alumni are employed in government, academia, environmental consulting, zoos/aquariums, and at non-profits.

We offer tailored guidance to those seeking career and academic advice in the natural sciences and conservation. In our experience, career services post-graduation are often lacking, and connection with a career advisor can help define one's career and personal plan, and align job applications, experiences, resume/CV, and grant proposals to optimize career growth. We provide guidance to all ages (under 18 needs parental permission) on how to plot a science career, important experience and training, how to bridge employment gaps, and defining success. When it makes sense, we also provide first access to the field programs we operate as well. All proceeds go directly to the advisors and to Remote Ecologist's ongoing conservation and science efforts and providing these career services to underserved and underrepresented communities. We also seek foundation funding to support these services for reduced cost or free.
