Our research and conservation programs act on a decadal timescale to conserve nature, support research, and support the people involved. These programs are community hubs for collaboration around those topical areas and beyond. We also serve as a non-profit fiscal sponsor of individual scientists, making it possible for scientists and conservationists to seek funding and get back into science and conservation after a hiatus by maintaining grant eligibility.

We focus in several core collaborative areas to provide a bridge for new connections. These collaborations encompass marine, aquatic, and terrestrial programs, and are expanding as our community grows.

See what collaborative projects are available this year, both as a collaborator or volunteer and for paid excursions. Tag along as a volunteer, or propose a related synergistic project!

Sign up to volunteer on our field projects or in data analysis, tap into our expertise for consulting, apply for a job, or contact us to serve as a fiscal sponsor to manage your grants.

Whether you are an individual scientist or conservationist with some projects that need a home, or a non-profit organization looking to leverage non-profit status under an alignment of mission, we can provide accounting and infrastructural support to facilitate conservation and social action projects. Contact info@remoteecologist.org for more information.

We work with other organizations to help in the recruitment process, leveraging our network of qualified scientific and conservation professionals to mitigate the risk of having a part-time new hire in the conservation and science area. This is particularly useful when building a program from scratch.
